Hi! My name is Chloé and I solo run Velvet Papillon :)

I founded my business in 2019 under the name Ambaar Bazaar. It began as a jewellery brand before naturally evolving into clothing design. At the beginning of 2026, it was reimagined as Velvet Papillon, marking a fresh chapter and an exciting direction. Today, the brand is driven by a love of sourcing and creating beautiful pieces, while staying true to strong ethics and values. I believe fashion doesn’t need to cost the earth or compromise the wellbeing of others.

I work across three distinct collections: vintage-inspired designs, handmade clothing, and vintage pieces. The vintage-inspired collection is the longest-standing and features designs created by me, then brought to life by my wonderful team of artisans in India. The handmade collection is a newer venture, launched in 2026, with each piece carefully made by me in my UK studio using upcycled silk sarees that would otherwise have been destined for landfill. The vintage collection is personally handpicked by me — I sift through thousands of garments to uncover truly unique pieces.
